  1. The rules were followed nicely. I think the black-and-white filter made it hard to see the actual video because it was too bright. Overall it looks great, good work!

  2. Whose Film: Ava
Were the rules for the obstruction followed effectively?
    – B&W, lots of movement, emotion
What was your favorite part of the video?
    – the sound effects
What would you re: edit, shoot, etc.?
    – I would reshoot the needing dough scene to make it shorter
Was the video paced well? Did any parts feel too long or too short?
    – It was a little slow and needed to move quicker

  3. She followed the rules very well. I like her approach to the rules that were given to her. I like the random sound effects. I also like how some things are sped up and some are slowed down. Something I would re-edit would be making the words bigger or maybe putting the words in white. I think the video was well-paced, and I didn’t think it was too long or too short.

  4. Were the rules for the obstruction followed effectively?:
    – Yes but it wasn’t completely silent
What was your favorite part of the video?
    – I liked all the smiles at the end
What would you re: edit, shoot, etc.?
    – The camera was blurry at parts and the brightness is extremely high
Was the video paced well? Did any parts feel too long or too short?
    – Yes, it was paced well

  5. Whose film Ava
Were the rules for the obstruction followed effectively?
One rule is silent/muted, is that supposed to include sound effects? I also don’t have much to say about the emotion rule

What was your favorite part of the video?
The finished recipe looks good 🙂

What would you re: edit, shoot, etc?
Definitely the way the black and white works with how bright the white is. Sometimes you cant see the subject very well

Was the video paced well? Did any parts feel too long or too short?
    Yes it was paced well

  6. 1) Followed rules
    2) Favorite part is the ending with the smiles.
    3) Good way to show a grandma in a grandma like setting.
    4) Paced well, good baking tutorial too lol

  7. The rules were followed efficiently. My favorite part is when the muffins are done. I wouldn’t reshoot anything just take out the sound before. The video was paced well and not too long.

  8. Obstructions followed pretty literally.

The black and white is nice. At some points, the contrast could be tweaked because it seems like a lot of white.

The smiles at the end are cute.

The pace seems a little slow.

  9. Nice job with obstructions – obviously sound effects weren’t really meant to be there so that changed the vibe a bit. Good filming though that can be hard to put the phone in some of those positions.

  10. Were the rules of the obstruction followed effectively?

    – Yes. The subtitles work well in place of spoken dialogue

What was your favorite part of the video?

    – The sound effects when the grandma is cutting the bread

What would you reshoot, reedit, etc.?

    – The only thing was the subtitles had “The Perfect Grandma” capitalized once, but then never again. Fixing that is the only thing I would change

Was the video well paced? Did any parts feel too long or short?

    – It felt very well paced. The kneading section was a little long, but I think it would’ve been fine with spoken dialogue (which is against the rules, so not the video’s fault!)

  11. -The rules of the video were nicely followed
-I like the old feel to it, since grandmas are typically old, the old-fashioned music at the beginning tied in pretty well. Also nice touch of sound effects
-If I could change anything about the video, it would be the sound effects. Some of the sound effects were a little too loud.
-the video was paced fine, no shots felt too short or long.

  12. I really liked your movie, would have preferred it completely silent because it gives off a performance art vibe.
Otherwise, I think you did a good job following the rules and don’t need to change anything really, a version without the sound effects is a version I would like to see though.
