I chose to review the site for the “Yo!” podcast. I like this site’s use of color, as the background for the site is light colored with the thumbnail and logo for the podcast being the website’s main pop of color. The user has to scroll down to see a list of all the episodes in season one of the podcast, which is simply white text on a black list. The high contrast between text and background makes the information on this site easy to read. I think this site’s minimalist design while still having understandable information, color, and being able to navigate the podcast episodes cleanly means that this site is layed out with a lot of potential. The things I’d change about the site are making it more colorful and more engaging. The site uses a relatively simple layout, which in my opinion is quite underwhelming. I would have liked the site to have a universal look, as the logo in the top left is colorful text on a plain background, but the thumbnail is white text on a colored background. I think uniformity within a brand is essential, and would make the site look cleaner and more professional.
