I love the visual element of the wings. It makes the project look really cool and makes it stand out a lot! I like the feather-y pattern you did on them. It makes them look realistic.
One aspect about the box that I really like is the key of instructions. The last number that said “good luck” made me laugh. I remember you saying that you wanted the journal to be of a person going mad in the pandemic after catching the virus. I really like that. I think it adds a whole other aspect to the seriousness of the current situation.
The wings looks pretty good and its detail stands out to me. I can see how the current pandemic guideline: 6 ft. apart from each other was applied to your box. Overall, this looks really good.
thank you! I actually had made the wings with 6ft apart in mind, spread out each wing is 6 ft end to end.
I really like the simplicity of your box and how it isn’t closed off like a normal box, your rules are very useful for during this pandemic. Your wings are coming together nicely, the structure seems quite sturdy and the feathers are very pleasing to the eye.
How well the appendage enhances the wearers experience during our current pandemic?: I think the wing is an interesting take on the concept of standing 6 feet apart. The construction is really cool and interesting and looks like you put a lot of hard work into it.
What do you see inside the fluxus box and what story does it tell you?: There are different items that currently revolve around the pandemic we are all experiencing. The construction of this box is also very unique and not just a box.
Which visual elements standout? Which would benefit from further refinement?: The scales are the wings are super intricate and interesting!
I like how simple and open the fluxus box is. It gets straight to the point and is very useful.
The visual part of the wings is very cool, how all the feathers are layered so carefully. Also it looks very sturdy so it wouldn’t break.
for the second project I like how different it is, it might need something unique maybe for grabbing attention more.
The wings and the fluxus box are meant to go hand in hand as social distancing wings and a plague lantern. It was rather fun making these to be honest, but cutting out so many feathers got tiring really fast-especially when you have limited cardboard as well. I hoped theyd be read as what they are, wings and lantern, but its only read half right which is okay!
