  1. Overall, a lot of work has been put into this! Well done! I think the rules are long and impressive but definitely clarify some things for roleplaying dummies (me lol). Example: say refer to combat structure for encounters.

With three people, it felt like we were all thriving and it would be hard to die and end the game. Having multiple entries depending on roles could be cool.

Introducing the idea of extending heart capacities/ luck ect maximum is a good idea.

  2. I was watching the group play this today and I would love to be in the next playtest, I really like how you added some different elements from other role-playing games such as the bear game that Connor had brought in and DND as a whole with some of the creatures and some other outside pop-culture references. I have a 12 sided die that I could lend you for this game if you wanted or maybe if you wanted when we have to do a game collab we could maybe combine my music game with your roleplaying game and make a game inspired by bardic inspiration haha!

    1. i’d love to collab on a game! i haven’t seen your music game but i’d consider myself a little bit of a music fan (i play 3 instruments) so i know i’d have so much fun making a music game!

      1. What instruments do you play, maybe we could meet up and talk about what we could do and maybe put something together for next class?

  3. Something I was thinking about your game is maybe adding more creatures from different pop culture locations in fiction and non-fiction (maybe taking inspiration from things like Norse Mythos, Adventure Time, other DND creatures, Ben Ten, or any other fiction or non-fiction location in any medium)

  4. I enjoyed playtesting your game! I think you put a lot of effort into the rules and I love all of the different weapons, characters, loot, etc. I think clarify some things in these rules would help to make the gameplay a little bit more smooth for first time players. A couple of things I wrote down include clarifying the max of the player stats, clarify the end of the game a little bit better, clarify the attacking and hearts system, I would also clarify the movement based on the arrows (we were confused about what path went what direction), and maybe bold the part of the forging weapon that it cost intellect points for players skimming the game. Overall, I think you’re headed a good direction with this game!
Also, I’m curious, why is it called Decks Out if there are no cards?

  5. I haven’t got a chance to play your game. Though after reading your rules, it looks like you have put a lot of time into it.
