Hooky is a collaborative board game in which a group of friends must enjoy their day off from school by avoiding adults and having fun at the arcade.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a competitive card game in which a group of teens are competing to be the last one to fall asleep by drinking energy drinks or trying to lull each other to sleep.

Tower

Tower is a collaborative board game in which a group of warriors must reach the top of the tower to claim their treasure by fighting off monsters and navigating deadly traps.

  1. I think Tower is an interesting idea. It could stand out from other boardgames if you used the tower as a way to make a vertical board. If the board folded up somehow so that the player pieces were actually going up, it could make the setup stand out from other games.

  2. Tasia, you have some really fun imagery and story-telling in these games. My favorite have to be Jewel Thief and Hooky. The design of the game itself could pull in the audience. In both games you could come up with different characters that go along with the story line whether that be thiefs and high school students.

  3. The metaphors in each of these are great. Toy War feels as though it could work a bit like Exploding Kittens. Though I’m partial to Tower as its a collaborative game so I’d like to see how players climb the tower and what they use to fight monsters.
