I agree with you that Fluxx is only fun when others are interested. It is hard to keep the game fun and moving along when people aren’t engaged and reading all the cards.
I think what you said about it only being fun when other people were engaged could be said about most other games as well. Games aren’t any fun when people don’t try to have fun!
