  1. I like how you show the appendage at full scale. Very creative. For the box, I like your idea and the little open me tab. If I were to give any advice of how to refine it, I would say add designs to the outside of the box. It is very colorful and has very good writing.

  2. What do you see inside the fluxus box and what story does it tell you?
It has many quotes in it, to help support a person’s mental health and inspire them.

Which visual elements standout? Which would benefit from further refinement?
I like how sturdy the appendage is and how it provides a good purpose.

What aspects of each project best reflect the maker or best reflect our current situation?
The appendage shows the person has a sense of humor, and also is smart and practical at the same time at building things.

  3. I like all the quotes inside the box. They move the viewer’s eye around the whole inside. I also like how the outside of the box is so plain that when you open it, all the colors pop out at you.
I think it was a good idea to have the arm be so long because of the distance required between people. That would make it easier to stay the required 6 feet away from others.

  4. I think your appendage is really successful and the construction is really good. The box is really interesting and I love the incorporation of movie quotes. I would also recommend, as someone above said, that you should add some color or designs to the outside of the box to captivate your audience.

  5. I both love and am slightly terrified of the fact that the appendage is at full scale. It’s very impressive, but also just massive! I enjoy the inside quotes, sorta urging the person on and lifting them up at the same time. Though it may not be a subtle element, but the scale of it is just tremendous.

  6. I like how sturdy your appendage seems and how it it held onto your arm, could be quite useful. I really like how colorful your box is but also how all of the quotes are on the same colored paper, a very nice design detail and pleasing to the eye.

  7. I had a lot of fun with both of these projects. The fluxus box was a nice relaxing project that I could convey my love for movies and quotes with. I also took it in the direction of don’t judge a book by its cover with the plain exterior and colorful inside as a way of saying you never know what to expect from anything. I loved every second of building the appendage because it challenged me to come up with a concept that could be used by someone other than myself. Fun fact about the appendage, is that my inspiration for the project came from the popular game series Assassin’s Creed. The forearm attachment works in a similar way to the assassins weapon of choice, the hidden blade, in the sense that it can extend and retract with ease all while being attached the user in one spot.
