  1. I think both of these projects really reflect you as a person. The denim on the arm and the craftiness of the box just remind me of you as a person and I think that’s really great. I love the idea for your box. I could really use one of those to keep me occupied!

    1. The visual elements that stand out to me are the colors of the notes inside the boxes, and the shiny silver bit on the arm (I can’t tell what it’s made of). Those two things were the first things that caught my eye when I looked at your projects.
The appendage definitely enhances the wearer’s experience during quarantine. It provides useful tools and supplies during this time. I don’t know if it was supposed to be like an “apocalypse survival kit” but that’s what it seems like to me and it’s really cool.

  2. Over all, I loved looking at both of your projects. Your appendage looks like the perfect survive kit for the current pandemic. The inclusion of tools, a place for snacks, and the first aid kit are placed in convenient and easily accessible places for the wearer, and the use of the marshmallow skewer as a social distance tool was a very good idea. Your fluxus box was well crafted and had a very relaxing and enjoyable theme to it. The different levels of boxes and the inclusion of drawing prompts makes me want to go back and pull it apart and use every piece of it over and over again. It’s a great way to bide your time during this quarantine .

  3. I really like the different materials and different tools stuck into the sleeve, it really matches you as a very crafty person. I’d picture the appendage working as a sort of right there multi-tool, which for sure would help even in pandemic times.

  4. The appendage is very interesting to me. To me, I think it is telling me that it is a survival type of appendage as I can see the knives. I like how your box is very colorful. It shows the different moods someone could be in and there is stuff in every container that reflects on the current mood. It is very organized.

  5. What do you see inside the fluxus box and what story does it tell you?
I see items like paint, puzzles – all organized into different feelings like “stressed”, “relax”, to show it is a survival box for quarantine.

What aspects of each project best reflect the maker or best reflect our current situation?
I like the fluxus box because of how colorful and organized it is, it shows the personality of the person.

Since we can’t interact with appendages for fluxus boxes, how do you picture them working?
I picture the fluxus box being used for when the person is feeling different feelings in quarantine to help make them feel better.

  6. The appendage you made is really cool and the construction is really good! I love the denim piece and the knife accessory. Your box also is extremely good and tells a really interesting story and the design is really unique compared to some of the other boxes!

The design and construction of your hand really stands out to me.

  7. Thank you for all of your comments, I appreciate all of your thoughts.
The sleeve was made as a type of survival kit for if things were to take the worst turn, the metal pieces (computer parts) are to be protective and stabilizers for the arm.
My box is a artist survival kit of sorts, it has a lot of the materials most artist would need plus some. The different aspects of the boxes are for different techniques as well as creative ideas to create. There is also a ‘relax’ and ‘stressed’ options for when the artist needs a break or pick-me-up. Each of the different written rules are for when the artist needs an idea to create or if they need ideas to continue on with their creation.
