To feed, or not to feed (game revisions)

Alana Tush

  • Only deal three cards that the players can look at- adds strategy and interaction with other players
  • score after round 3 instead of each round
  • buy another color token to signify animals are fully fed instead of having a bunch of blue tokens
  • add in more explanation of a players turn
  • if you choose to keep a card, you cannot discard it later
  • the round ends when the draw pile is done.
  • 3 rounds- finish the whole deck is one round

  1. This game was fun and overall well thought out. I think these revisions reflect some of the frustration/confusion we had while playing the game. The card design was so cute and well thought out! I wouldn’t change it all. I think this game would do really well with younger audiences! The addition of being able to see a couple cards is an interesting mechanic. I’d like to see how that goes.
    A couple notes:
-I think it would help to say at the beginning that it’s a face down pile and you play like risk. I can’t remember if that was in there but it would definitely simplify learning.
-You should make a note that if one person runs out of cards first (because of unequal card amounts in draw pile) the round ends otherwise people get an unequal amount of points.

  2. I also had issues of discarding cards pop up in my game.. Some things that you wouldn’t even consider become so apparent once you play it

  3. What I find interesting about this game is the Token mechanic, in correlation to how many animals you have to take care of. I’d like to see how this works out.
