The website that would be considered competition to our website would be Meat and Potatoes. The layout of our website has a very similar structure to it with the center of the website having the initial navigation bar. The logo will also share a similarity with the positioning being relatively close to the same spot. When it comes to the navigation, the way that both our website and the one for Meat and Potatoes has the animal combined with the navigating. Both of the websites have a separate bar of navigation that the viewer can click on once they click on a page. It shows up on the top of the website that lets you choose The other pages to go to. The difference is that our website contains different options for the navigation. Our website does not have pages that would take you to a gallery, or events. When it comes to the way that the two websites used a color scheme, they are not even close to the same. The Meat and Potatoes website uses black as a main color for the background, and has white around the Cow, with a little yellow around the sides. Our website contains more lively colors suck as greens, blues, whites, and other colors that make the viewers eyes pop. the animal on our website, the “Kraken” is a completely different color than the rest of our website. the two websites do have many similarities, such as the layout of the search bar and the way that they both follow the rule of having a navigation bar on different pages. However, the websites have different color and textures. their website has a very metallic, and hard but smooth texture, where as ours has a cartoony, and under water feel and texture.

The website that I chose to review is https://onepagelove.com/luca. Luca is a restaurant, and on the site is a full menu and a list of the workers, along with various other things. The color and texture of this website is very fun and pleasing to the eye. The color of this website, in my eyes, is defiantly a strong suit. The order in which the site is laid out is easy to understand, and it has a great sense of flow to go along with it. the list of different things to look at are put in place in a way that a small child would be able to understand. The way to get from one page to another is simply by scrolling up and down due to the fact that this is in fact, a single page website. It is very easy to understand and read what you are looking at in this website for a few reasons. One being that it clearly tells the reader what they are looking at in the top of each section. Secondly, it is broken off into different colors for each section giving the eye an easy understanding that it is looking at a different part. The location of things in this website are mostly centered and easy to keep your eye on. The layout of finding the Hierarchy in this page is also very easy to do, being that the top of each section will have the title of what we are looking at, and the there is a clear level of importance. This site has little sections at the bottom or middle of the pages that have a small box around text saying something like “map”. This is easy for the reader to tell that you can in fact click on those parts. There is a clear understanding of that can and cannot be clicked on in the page. And lastly, the amount of cluster that is put into this page is at a minimum. There is not much that makes this website too much to look at, and there is a great layout of clarity to view. Overall, I personally feel that this website is very well done. It has clear points of importance, and there is a comfortable amount of space between everything. You can easily navigate between the different pages, and you can clearly tell that is clickable. This website is one that anyone could easily use.

The site that I will be reviewing is Musiciansfriend.com. Musicians friend is a website for online shopping for musical instruments such as guitars, drums, keyboards, amps and many more versatile musical instruments and accessories. When I initially went on to this site, I found that it seemed very clustered to me. It was a lot to take in and try to skim through, but there was a “shop by category” in the top left side that caught my eye. When I came to navigating my way through the site, it became very easy for me. I play guitar, and have done so for the past five years, so I figured I would pretend to buy a new guitar. Navigating my way, and searching and finding the guitar of my choosing was something that I found to be fairly easy. This site is actually a very easy one to navigate around in, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend. My only fault that I see is that when I first went on to the site, it was a lot for me to take in. I don’t know if it was because of the font style, the amount that was on the front page, or even the color scheme, but my only wish is that the home page was more inviting and easy to look at. Overall, I found this to be a great website, and I would definitely use it again and recommend it to friends and family.
