Looping Animation 1: Zoetrope – using only 10 frames create a simple motion study, this could be a walk cycle, ball bounce, or wiggling line, but no stick figures. These should be hand drawn, then outlined in black ink, color is optional. Once complete post a photograph of your Zoetrope to the class blog.
Take it further: construct a frame the size of 1 frame of your animation. This construction should allow your paper to slide back and forth so you can bring the animation to life through stop-motion techniques. Post a video or gif of this animation to the class blog.
Looping Animation 2: Sprite – using 24 frames create a second smother version of your first motion study, this one should be done using photoshop or illustrator. Frames should be 100 pixels square which will make your sprite 100h x2400w pixels. Once complete post a PNG to the class blog.
