{"id":15994,"date":"2026-02-24T15:23:20","date_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=15994"},"modified":"2026-02-25T22:33:49","modified_gmt":"2026-02-26T03:33:49","slug":"game-ideas-around-empathy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=15994","title":{"rendered":"Game Ideas around Empathy"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Impairment: Each player either can&#8217;t 1 &#8211; see 2 &#8211; hear &#8211; 3 touch normally 4 &#8211; talk and you play a simple game (like Uno or something) and then reflect on the experience and switch &#8220;impairments&#8221; to feel what they other person goes through<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Similar to the above game but specifically finding empathy for people who have a hard time with too many stimuli (autism, adhd, etc) Each player adds or takes away a noise\/distraction each turn as well as playing the game and can give or take &#8220;relief&#8221; from the chaos to understand the need for sensory rooms or quiet spaces<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A game that has to do with learning to be empathetic for language differences &#8211; I feel like especially in the U.S. people immediately form opinions about people based on their accent\/language difference.
