{"id":15133,"date":"2025-11-13T10:48:25","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T14:48:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=15133"},"modified":"2025-11-19T22:09:36","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T02:09:36","slug":"go-wish-aleah-and-christine-official-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=15133","title":{"rendered":"Go Wish Aleah and Christine Official Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Go Wish<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Goal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Be the first player to collect four matching cards of the same number, person, or suit guided by fate and fortune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Materials<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A 52-card deck (or a custom tarot-themed deck with four suits: Cups, Swords, Wands, and Coins).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A fortune teller (paper cootie catcher) with the four suits written inside.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Setup<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Shuffle the deck and deal 7 cards to each player.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the remaining cards face down in the draw pile.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place the fortune teller in the center of the table. This represents fate guiding the players.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Play<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Consult the Fortune Teller<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The player whose turn it is selects a suit Coin, Sword, Cup, or Wand \u2014 and spells it out, opening and closing the fortune teller with each letter.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When finished, the player chooses a number revealed inside (1\u20136).<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open that flap to reveal an action prompt \u2014 this can determine:<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How many cards to draw (e.g., \u201cDraw 2 cards\u201d),<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which card to play (e.g., \u201cPlay your 5th card\u201d),<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Or a fun fate-based rule (e.g., \u201cTrade hands with another player\u201d).<br>(You can write these actions under each flap of the fortune teller.)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2: Make a Wish<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After following the fortune teller\u2019s action:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The player selects another player and asks if they have a specific number, person, or suit (just like in Go Fish).<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Example: \u201cDo you have any Cups?\u201d or \u201cDo you have any 7s?\u201d<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the other player has the requested cards, they must hand them over, and the asker gets another turn.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the other player does not have them, the asker must draw from the top of the draw pile.<br><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3: Fate\u2019s Consequences<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on how the turn goes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If successful:<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep your cards and continue your turn.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you complete a set of four matching cards (by number\/person\/suit), place them face-up \u2014 that\u2019s one fulfilled Wish.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If unsuccessful:<br>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Discard all but the card you used to make your \u201cWish.\u201d<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draw back up to 6 cards.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The other player also draws 1 new card from the deck to replenish their hand.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4: Refresh the Deck<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If the draw pile runs out, shuffle the discard pile to create a new deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Winning the Game<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The first player to fulfill three Wishes (collect three complete sets of four cards) wins the game.
