Set in 1995, you play as\u00a0Katie Greenbriar, a young woman returning home after a year abroad. When she arrives at her family\u2019s new house in Oregon, she finds it empty and eerily quiet. As Katie, you explore the house to uncover what happened in her absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The story unfolds through detailed environmental storytelling\u2014letters, notes, cassette tapes, and personal objects scattered throughout the house. Central to the narrative is Katie\u2019s younger sister,\u00a0Sam, whose coming-of-age journey, including her struggles with identity, family acceptance, and a romantic relationship, is revealed piece by piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gone Home is often described as a &#8220;walking simulator,&#8221; with no combat or puzzles\u2014just exploration and emotional discovery.
