{"id":1349,"date":"2016-02-24T16:25:47","date_gmt":"2016-02-24T23:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=1349"},"modified":"2016-02-24T16:25:47","modified_gmt":"2016-02-24T23:25:47","slug":"thoughts-on-interaction-design-ch-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=1349","title":{"rendered":"Thoughts on Interaction Design Ch 6"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chapter six talks about judgement and shifting negative behavior. \u00a0Norms are behaviors that are common for people within a certain culture or group. \u00a0If someone thinks that one a design goes against the norms that they believe in then they tend to have a judgement of \u00a0the design which could resulting a negative behavior. \u00a0Judgements can cause a cultural shift in society if the judgement is spread wide enough throughout the viewers. \u00a0This chapter also talks about discursive design. \u00a0This is a category of design that treats products as ideas rather than just &#8220;instruments of utility&#8221;. \u00a0The last thing talked about in chapter 6 is shifting negative behavior through design. \u00a0Negative behaviors can be shifted by making people rethink their stance on a product.
