{"id":12552,"date":"2025-03-12T16:55:58","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T20:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=12552"},"modified":"2025-03-14T11:34:15","modified_gmt":"2025-03-14T15:34:15","slug":"harding-game-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=12552","title":{"rendered":"Harding &#8211; Game Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Pokemon 4D Studio Version<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use 40 cards in a deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Flip a coin to see who goes first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whoever goes first cannot attack during their first turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Draw 4 cards and place them facedown in front of your deck. These would be considered your prize cards. When you knock out your opponent\u2019s Pok\u00e9mon, draw a prize card. When you draw all 4 before your opponent does, you win. You also win if your opponent has no remaining pokemon on the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game continues even if a player\u2019s deck runs out of cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both players draw 7 cards at the beginning of the game. If you don\u2019t have at least 1 pokemon in your hand to play on the playing field, shuffle your hand into your deck and draw 7 new cards. Repeat until you are able to play at least 1 pokemon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*Optional<\/strong> (You also have the option to reshuffle if you only have 1 pokemon in your hand and do not wish to play it down.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each player draws one card at the beginning of their turn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each player can only have one attacking Pok\u00e9mon and a maximum of five on the <strong>bench<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each player can play as many Pok\u00e9mon on their bench up to the 5-<strong>bench<\/strong> maximum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this game, disregard the <strong>energy costs<\/strong> and effects such as burned, poisoned, paralyzed and asleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each player can only attack once per turn and if the damage counters total or exceeds the <strong>HP<\/strong> of the Pok\u00e9mon, the Pok\u00e9mon would be knocked out and placed in the discard pile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trainer<\/strong> cards can only be played during the player\u2019s turn. And a player can play as many as they have in their hand. Once played, the trainer card is discarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stadium<\/strong> cards are placed on the field separately and any player can replace them with another stadium card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pok\u00e9mon powers<\/strong> can only be used once per game per Pok\u00e9mon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evolution<\/strong> cards are placed on top of the pokemon they correspond with (the card will say \u201cevolves from X\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During <strong>attacking<\/strong>, choose the attack and if the attack does damage place the damage counters on the defending Pok\u00e9mon and the other appropriate Pok\u00e9mon if applicable. Once you attacked, your turn is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can have an unlimited number of cards in your hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You are allowed to <strong>retreat<\/strong> your attacking pokemon and switch it with one of your benched pokemon, this is allowed only once during your turn. The trainer cards had a wide range of impact and can change the experience of the gameplay very quickly.
