{"id":10245,"date":"2024-09-21T20:09:23","date_gmt":"2024-09-22T00:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=10245"},"modified":"2024-10-03T16:38:38","modified_gmt":"2024-10-03T20:38:38","slug":"takenoko-game-review","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=10245","title":{"rendered":"Takenoko Game Review"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Was it fun?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes it was fun, wasn&#8217;t the most fun I&#8217;ve had playing a game but it was pretty<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What were the player interactions?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the player interactions was when we were using tokens to make sure we remembered the last move we made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How long did it take to learn?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all honesty it took a really long time for us to realize that we were playing the game wrong, which is totally okay but the directions weren&#8217;t very clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Would you play it again?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No personally, it wasn&#8217;t my favorite<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Analyze the game using the 3 act structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first structure was very nicely laid out with a fun little comic explaining the games storyline and setting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second structure was us continuously learning about what certain weather options did to continue the game and build onto it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ending was when one person won the Emperor card with the most points<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are the collaborative and or competitive aspects of the game?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It honestly didn&#8217;t feel like either, until it came down to taking other peoples chances to finish their objectives so you could finish yours<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the game\u2019s metaphor and which of the game\u2019s mechanics standout?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe the games metaphor would be about the Panda eating a lot of bamboo, which would be us &#8220;eating&#8221; points and building up our scores<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Was it fun?
