{"id":10028,"date":"2024-09-06T21:08:17","date_gmt":"2024-09-07T01:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=10028"},"modified":"2024-09-07T16:40:24","modified_gmt":"2024-09-07T20:40:24","slug":"week-2-questions-7","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rmu.andrewyames.com\/?p=10028","title":{"rendered":"Week 2 Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions Set 1:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Mechanics would you like to use for a game with a theme that revolves around being the size of an nanometer?<\/strong> I would like to use some form of mechanics that would allow you to tour each others minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who are you making games for?<\/strong> As of right now, I have not decided what my target audience would be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who will be your play testers outside of class?<\/strong> A combination of co-workers, family, friends, and maybe some of the local rink rats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions Set 2:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can you think of a game that you were able to play without referring to the rules?<\/strong> Basic card games, LCR,  and Mini hoops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you define what a game is? <\/strong>A game is anthing that has an objective to solve or get to or an activity to do..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What features can make your game more intuitive?<\/strong> Adding a competive aspect among players, and by having more than one possible outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions Set 3:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What was your gateway game?<\/strong> <strong>What do you play to introduce others to gaming? <\/strong>My gateway game was either monopoly or candy land. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What features do gateway games share?<\/strong> Gateway games are low mantience games, they are often enjoyed by families and easy to learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What are the 10 beautiful mechanics and what should you aim for with your own?<\/strong> Drawing cards, buy property, spending money, recieving money, paying rent, moving pieces, rolling dice, stacking hotels, brickering with opennts, and strategy. Including a few mechanics will draw more attraction to your game and keep your audience interested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does luck and game strategy factor into game play? <\/strong>Besides dice games and gambling strategy is a bigger factor than luck.
