Welcome to the HTML Toolbox class blog and syllabus. Here you find the course syllabus, schedule, and policies, as the semester progresses challenges, your final project, resources and examples will be posted. Today we will do a quick HTML & CSS review then transition to a mini experiment, which I will hand out, then you’ll have time to begin work on your home page. Before class is over register for a user account to use this class blog.
This semester your home page must include the following:
- your name
- email address
- short design statement (150 to 250 words)
- Things to include:
- Introduction: answer the question why design?
- Interests within design: which areas do you enjoy?
- Influences: which artists and designers have inspired you?
- Career plans or future area of specialization.
- examples:
- Things to include:
- photo of yourself
- gallery of 5 or more images of projects from other classes
- images should have a caption describing their size purpose and title
- plan for future navigation that points to experiments, challenges, small projects and your final project.
