  • Due Project 2: 10 Ideas and Sketches
  • Demo: Materials and Tools for making cardboard prototypes and maquettes
  • Demo: laser cutting
  • Read: The Design of Everyday Things (pp. 1-36)
  • Scan: The Maker’s Manual (pp. 23-62)

Week 4 Micro-controllers & Micro-Processors – 2/5

  • Due: 3 refined ideas with sketches or a testable prototype
  • Lecture: What are Micro-controllers & Micro-Processors
  • Demo: Getting started with Circuit Playground, Arduino and Raspberry Pi
  • Demo: Soldering
  • Read: The Maker’s Manual (pp. 123-140) and (pp. 141-166 or 167-184) and (pp. 185-206)

Week 5 Field Trip – 2/12
